MANTRAFY WITH EDO

Edo is passionate about transforming lives, empowering individuals and uniting communities.

Edo is an award winning singer-songwriter and major label musician. In his early twenties he released several albums and toured with his indie-rock bands. His music has featured on radio, film and TV. After a life-changing journey to India in 2004, Edo's path transformed into one of devotion, service, spiritual music and meditation.

Edo is the co-founder of A Sound Life charity, a major label artist (BMG) and APRA award-winning songwriter featured in film, television and radio.

The soothing mantra music he created with the late Jo Mall-Kahn as Edo and Jo, has had over 100 million streams and still touches the hearts of hundreds of thousands of monthly listeners world-wide.

Edo is also the co-founder of Omfest, which in 2023 was the biggest Bhakti Festival, Byron Bay Australia has seen to date, featuring artists like Krishna Das. 

In the Early 2000s, Edo Signed with his band Gelbison to EMI. Their albums were produced by Ian Ball of the band Gomez (UK) and toured with the likes of Beck, Wilco, Gomez, Ben Lee, Ben Folds, Lior The Sleepy Jackson and Sarah Blasko. The song See The World featured on surf movie Sipping Jetstreams. The band morphed into the Kahn Brothers consisting of Edo and brother Nadav, they released the album Love Melts Fear in 2008. The song Only Love is Real featured in the movie The Waiting City. Edo is also part of the alt-folk collaboration Nations By The River together with Empire Of The Sun's Luke Steele, Ohad Rein (Old Man River) and Nadav. 

With the launch of Mantrafy Edo is releasing new music and he is also working on a singer-songwriter project and english-mantra hybrid songs which he is excited to share with the Mantrafy community. Stay tuned!

From 2008-2015 Edo and Jo toured extensively including playing at Bhaktifest and Pranafest in the USA, Bali Spirit Festival. Their music is an enchanting mix of Eastern mantra and Western folk-pop that is both soothing and uplifting. As both musicians and yoga teachers they ran their own wellness Bhakti retreats in Bali and India, as well as co-facilitated workshops and yoga training programs with renowned yoga teachers and yoga schools around the globe. Edo & Jo have been featured in various print media including Australian Yoga Journal, Yoga Journal Germany, Australian Natural Health Magazine, Yoke, Sunday Morning Herald, Yogi Times and Indian Link.

In 2014, they combined their love for seva through music, yoga and meditation and co-founded A Sound LIfe charity to bring free music, yoga and meditation programs to people in healthcare and underprivileged communities. Since then ASL has delivered almost 6000 free sessions positively impacting 60,000 people in our community.

In 2015, Jo passed shortly after her cancer diagnosis. She dropped her body and entered the divine ocean with so much courage, grace and beauty.
